Meeting Venue

The conference will be held at Rikssalen (The Hall of State), Uppsala Castle. Bus 3 and 4 runs every 5 minutes from the central station and takes 10 minutes. Bus stop Svandammen, and 5 minutes walk to the castle.
 

Social event and dinner

After the meeting on November 25, our coaches will take you to Gamla Uppsala Museum for a guided tour before dinner is served at Odinsborg. After dinner, the coaches will take you back to central Uppsala and stop at the different hotels.

Accommodation 

Please note that if you arrive the morning of the conference and have not checked in at your hotel of choice, you will not have time to do that between the conference and the evening event and dinner. We will provide you with secure luggage storage until you can check in at your hotel.
We are glad to inform you that reservations have been made at the following hotels for the participants of the conference. Please be aware that the Swedish Medical Products Agency or Nordic Council of Ministers do not cover any costs for travelling or accommodation.
 
The hotels are situated within walking distance from both central Uppsala and Uppsala Castle. 
For best rate and availability, we strongly advice you to book your accomodation as soon as possible.

Traveller´s Guide - Arlanda Airport to Uppsala City

Stockholm Arlanda, is the closest airport, situated approximately 35km south of Uppsala. Public transport runs frequently between Uppsala and Arlanda, and includes buses, trains and taxis. Depending on the mode of transport you use, it will take between 20 and 45 minutes to travel from Arlanda to Uppsala

Train:

Going by train is likely the fastest way to get from Arlanda to Uppsala.

Tickets can be purchased online from the national train company website SJ.se or at Arlanda Central Station in Sky City. Tickets will cost approximately SEK 175-210, plus SEK 130 passage fee paid separately at the passage gates in Sky City Arlanda, if it is not included in the ticket price.

Bus:

Bus number 801 will take you from Arlanda to Uppsala in around 45 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the Arlanda Visitor Centre located in Terminal 5, or at an information desk in Terminal 2 and 4. You can also buy tickets onboard (card payment only). Tickets will cost approximately SEK 100.

Taxi:

Uppsala Taxi offers a fixed price of 675 SEK for passengers travelling from Arlanda to Uppsala. You can find a variety of different taxi companies in the taxi area outside of the airport.
