Welcome to Allegro Songwriting & Bandcamp, an inspiring and creative camp for both songwriters and musicians!
The camp takes place from October 29 to November 1, 2024 in Jakobstad, Finland, and is a unique opportunity for those passionate about music creation.
The camp is organized by Nordic Music Creators and Arctic Music Circles.
Songwriting Camp (Nordic Music Creators)
During the camp, participants can choose between three exciting focuses:

Write music with Swedish Idol winner Cimberly Wanyonyi: Write songs for/ together with one of Sweden's most prominent young artists. Cimberly is attending the camp as a songwriter, singer and mentor.

Write for the Asian music market: Interested in an international career? You can choose to create music aimed at the Asian market. You’ll receive leads, guidance, and on-site feedback from Victor Sågfors (ceo and producer at Roko Music and A&R at Elements Music) who has extensive experience in this dynamic music industry.

Create your own music in any genre: If you want to explore your own unique style or work within a specific genre, there’s also the opportunity to write and develop your own music. You have complete freedom to create in the genre that inspires you most, with feedback from professional mentors on site. One of the songs will later be selected to have its own music video.
Band Camp (Arctic Music Circles)
Running parallel to the songwriting camp is a band camp for musicians. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own music, play together with other musicians, and network with participants from Sweden, Norway, and Finland. Explore your musical ideas and create a unique encounter between musicians.
Joint Conclusion
The camp ends with a joint performance where both songwriters and musicians get to showcase their works. The performance will be filmed as a memento of this creative journey. After the performance, there will be a joint dinner to celebrate the creative processes and the new friendships formed.
Evening Activities
In the evenings, there’s time for relaxation, socializing, and networking between songwriters and musicians. It’s a perfect chance to make new connections and share experiences in a relaxed atmosphere.
Application and Selection
The camp is free of charge. Nordic Music Creators provides accommodation and the round trip from Umeå harbor for songwriters. Arctic Music Circles provides accomodation and travel costs for musicians within the Interreg Aurora region.
Since spaces are limited, a selection of participants will be made based on submitted portfolios. This means that those applying should submit examples of their previous music creations to be considered for a spot.
