Welcome to participate in the Metsä360 Competition.

LUT University in cooperation with the Marjatta and Eino Kolli Foundation is organising a competition for primary school students in grades 7-8 to encourage young people to learn about forests, their significance and potential, and to come up with ideas for future solutions.

We expect participating classes, small groups or individual students to produce a video of no more than 5 minutes in length, based on an activity, art, science or emotion - or ideally combining all these dimensions. The video should highlight ideas for finding added value in forests. How do forest-based products appear in everyday life?

To enter the competition, a group or student must have a teacher or other mentor as a contact person.

Participating videos will be uploaded to YouTube and the competition will be entered by filling in an online form.

How to participate:

Register for the Metsä 360 competition by completing this registration form by May 31, 2025.
After completing the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email. The confirmation email will contain a link to complete the form.
Submit the link to your video entry by September 30, 2025.
The jury will evaluate all competition entries submitted by September 30, 2025, and select the top three.
The top three groups will be invited to the Metsä360 award gala, which will be held on November 24th 2025 in Lahti.
All participants will be contacted once the competition results are announced.
