Physical health is undeniably important but what also defines our life satisfaction is the connection with ourselves, other people, and the curiosity we have for our surroundings. In this 4-day retreat, Dr. Hanna Poikonen brings together her 15-year expertise in neuroscience and decades of movement experience including dance, martial arts, and meditation, to help you to reach your wellbeing dream. If you are going through challenges in your work or personal life, stress management, overall health, or you just want to learn efficient and enjoyable tools for maintaining your brain health and vitality in a long run, this is the right retreat for you.
Benefits
- Improved mental and emotional wellbeing through concentrated mind, creativity, and joy.
- Improved physical abilities such as embodied awareness, joint and muscle dynamics, and balance.
- A safe and calm space in the beautiful nature surroundings for stress relief and to regain your vitality.
On the retreat, we will enhance our wellbeing on all levels – neuronal, cognitive & emotional, and social – which together create us as a whole. The days start with movement meditation in nature. We also gather daily on the WiseMotion Masterclasses, based on the method developed by Hanna, to experience the essence of wellbeing through body movement and to understand it through science. The WiseMotion Masterclasses cover four interconnected fields which cherish the health of the body, brain, and mind: Aware Perception, Clear and Focused Mind, Emotions in the Body and Brain, and The Brain in Creativity.

The WiseMotion Method
WiseMotion brings together embodied experience and neuroscientific knowledge in a concrete way. The method is designed for all curious movers, regardless of their background in movement practice or science. The practice improves physical, cognitive, and emotional health and self-awareness with movement, meditation, and neuroscience. The WiseMotion Masterclasses consist of movement exercises with music, neuroscientific presentations and group conversations. The movement exercises are designed to promote processes in creativity, concentration and self-awareness. Neuroscientific presentations clarify the science behind the exercises and connect the latest scientific discoveries to everyday life. During the conversations, the guests deepen their knowledge about the topic of the Masterclass, based on their personal experiences and the neuroscientific approach. Hundreds of higher executives, professionals in healthcare or arts, entrepreneurs, and people with a brain-related illness have benefitted from the WiseMotion Method.
WiseMotion has been featured in “In Pursuit of Wellness” documentary series by BBC StoryWorks & Global Wellness Institute, Psychology Today, Condé Nast Traveller, Women’s Health, ELLE Spain, European Spa Magazine, Svenska Dagbladet, Swedish Broadcasting Company SVT, Korean Broadcasting System, Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE and Helsingin Sanomat among others.
